Dads, or men in general, are hard to crack. There has probably been a point in your life where you were stumped on what to get that special man for the holidays. Thankfully, Father’s Day is not the time to shower him in gifts, instead it’s the one-day you can truly show him how much you care. This year make Father’s Day one to remember with a day packed full of his favorite activities! Try one or take on a few, either way, make Father’s Day special! If your dad loves hunting and you’re looking for the best gift for him then get him a rangefinder for hunting, this will help make his shots more accurate.

  1. Hiking

What better way to connect with dad than exploring the many trails Austin has to offer? Take a trip to the Greenbelt this Father’s Day. Journey five minutes into the woods to hang out and picnic at Twin Falls, or continue on the trail for thirty minutes to stop at Sculpture Falls. Whether dad prefers to jump off rocks at Sculpture Falls, or relax and people watch at Twin Falls, the greenbelt has something to offer for every family.

  1. Go Kart

Time to let dad’s inner speed demon out! Enjoy some fun family competition by racing around the track to the finish line. Go karting at K1 Speed in Austin is definitely one-way to put a smile on his face.

  1. TopGolf

Whether dad is a golf enthusiast or not, TopGolf is a great place for a family outing. Take the time to practice that perfect backswing while the family lounges on the couch in your personal game pod. There are additional games, such as pool and Wii for even more entertainment.

  1. Beer Tasting

Kick back, relax, and enjoy a beer tour! Saturday, June 18th, Independence Brewing Co. is having an event to celebrate dads. Bring dad in to learn about one of his favorite beers and have a chance to win a raffle prize. Dad doesn’t like beer? Try the Deep Eddy’s Tour. No matter which tour the family chooses, it’ll be a fun drinking experience for everyone.

  1. Paintball

Get a little competitive! Rain or shine, play as a family team or split up into mom vs. dad. Take a shot at something new this weekend.

  1. Car Show

Hang out with dad as he enjoys a free car show. Located at the intersection of 51st and Lamar from noon to 4pm, enjoy the display of more than 350 antique cars. Admission is free, which you know will make dad smile.

  1. Indoor Sky Diving

Dad flies high, no lie, he knows it! Try out iFLY for a unique experience this Father’s Day. Not only will you get to fly like a bird, but think of all the funny pictures you can take of him as he twirls around in a clear tube.

  1. Free Concert

Take a night to appreciate free live music at the Hartman Concert Park in front of the Long Center City Terrace. Grab a blanket, a picnic basket and enjoy. From 7:30pm to 8:30pm, listen to some jazz music performed by Big Band in celebration of your old man.

  1. Father’s Day BrewBCruise

Want to get out on the water for Father’s Day? Take the BrewBCruise! Austin Tour Company and Capital Cruises has created a Father’s Day event with live music and great food.
