How to Spend Valentine’s Day in Austin

Posted on Feb 01, 2016 by

Not sure how to plan a romantic Valentine’s Day for that special someone? HMG is here to help! We’ve put together the perfect schedule to spend the day of love with your significant other in the unique city of Austin.

Spend the morning walking Lady Bird Lake Trail, taking in the beauty of the lake and the skyline of Austin. As you’re walking, stop by one of the restaurants near the lake to enjoy a delicious breakfast or a late brunch. Our local favorite is Magnolia Cafe.

Instead of surprising your loved one with a bouquet of flowers in the morning, why not bring her to the Zilker Botanical Garden for not only one bouquet, but for a huge arrangement? Zilker Botanical Garden is the ideal place to spend a few hours appreciating Mother Nature and its dazzling ambiance.

Take the time to appreciate the unique designs at the Baylor Street Art Wall. You and your loved one could spend hours gazing at the art that has been beautifully crafted by local artists in the Austin area.

Mid-Afternoon Snack

Hungry from brunch? Stop into Halcyon for a Chocolate Espresso Martini and their famous S’mores for a perfect afternoon treat. This will be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth on this special day.

Late Afternoon

Enjoy a breathtaking view on the top of Mount Bonnell while taking in the lovely sunset behind Lake Travis. This will be sure to win the heart of your partner.

End the evening at Winflo Osteria for a beautiful candlelit dinner and live musical performance by American singer-songwriter Matthew Mayfield. The chefs will create a delicious 5-course meal, providing a bottle of red or white Italian wine of your choosing. To purchase tickets to the event, click here.

This romantic day will be the perfect way to show your loved how much they mean to you, all in the beautiful city of Austin, Texas!
