How You Can Help the Food + Drink Business in Austin Right Now

Since our last blog post regarding the COVID-19 virus, from March 13, 2020, we have seen the #socialdistancing phenomenon emerge, a recommendation to limit gatherings to 50 people and then to 10 people, and now we just have to stay inside. We’ve seen the closure of “non-essential” businesses across the country and already, we are seeing business closures and grocery store droughts happening across Austin. The City of Austin recently prohibited gatherings of over 10 people inside and outside (with the exception of governmental, educational, and medical spaces) and sit-ins at restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. Businesses are limited to providing to-go services only. Because Austin is a major hub for the food and drink industry, especially during the SXSW season, local businesses are suffering more than ever. As Austinites, we want to help as much as possible.
